After breakfast drive to Bundi. Welcome to Bundi, the pride of Rajasthan. What awaits you here is the TaragarhFort, that crowns the crest of a steep hill overlooking the town, while the Garh Palace is located picturesquely beneath the hillside. This palace is Bundi’s jewel. Unlike most other palaces in Rajasthan, there is very little sway of mughal architecture. The Garh Palace represents a rare example of the pure Rajput style, with curved roofs topping pavilions and kiosks, a plethora of temple columns and ornamental brackets, and typically Rajput motifs such as elephants and lotus flowers. The palace is entered through the impressive Hathia Pol assisted by two towers and adorned by a pair of huge painted elephants. The most spectacular parts of the palace are the ChattarMahal and the Chitrashala, an arcaded gallery overlooking a hanging garden.
